Maria reminded me last night that we have been seeing each other for six months and handed me an envelope. I opened it, read the card and then removed the Ticketmaster envelope. And then I laughed. A lot. She had heard a few of my stories about Sue & Kit and some of their talented and totally charming friends. And she was clearly pleased to have completely surprised me. And so, we are going to the House of Blues on October 6th and seeing Hanson(!) and Hellogoodbye-whoever-they-are. It's a Tuesday night. Anyone else going to be in Cleveland that night? Look for the 6'3 old guy and the 6'2 redhead (also old by Hanson standards, heh-heh).Current Music: Somebody Fix Me - Grace Potter |

Spent the weekend in beautiful Hocking Hills State Forest in southeastern Ohio. Wish I could stay there for the rest of the summer. Of course, the danger is that I might turn out to look like this: 
But the scenery beats hell out of Cleveland . . .

Found this one lying alone, no sign of a mother deer around. It seemed completely unafraid and I left it lying right there under the trees. The mother will be back for it. Or not.
